About me.

I've always had a passion for food, wine, travel, nature and wildlife. It's like these loves were etched into my soul from the very beginning. When I was young, I pursued my dream and attended cooking school, which ignited a fire within me for the art of hospitality and the joy of cooking.

After spending time working in high-end restaurants in bustling New York, life led me on a different path. I decided to study Economics and Design in Rotterdam, where I delved into the world of digital design and strategy.

For over 25 years I have worked in the digital realm focused on service- and product design, but deep down, my heart never strayed far from my true passions.

Now, at this beautiful stage in life, with three grown-up sons and a heart full of wanderlust, I've decided to embrace my true calling once again. I made the bold move from Amsterdam to the idyllic village of Tourrettes sur Loup in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur in France.  

Here, amidst the breathtaking landscapes, I've found a place where I can dedicate my time to what I love most.

I am ‘Chef on Location’, where I offer bespoke food experiences for groups of up to 16 guests. Picture this: a delightful holiday villa filled with laughter as I prepare flavorful dishes using the freshest ingredients. From intimate gatherings to celebratory diners, I'll leave your hearts full and your palates content.

But that's not all. Welcome to Bertram Studio, a cozy haven for two nestled within the Provençal charm. Here, you can find solace and peace, basking in the beauty of nature and the romance of the French countryside. It's the perfect escape for a private retreat or a romantic getaway.

And then there's my lifelong passion for travel and wildlife. I invite you to join me on a tailor-made safari-style journey through the lands I hold dear to my heart – f.e. the enchanting landscapes of Italy in Europe and the wild wonders of Botswana in Southern Africa. With my knowledge - I hold a certificate in Rewilding Tourism - and expertise, I'll guide you to the hidden gems and extraordinary experiences that only a local can reveal. I take pride in curating not just trips, but meaningful connections.

My energy and warmth create an instant sense of ease, allowing guests to feel seen and connected with one another.
